[LG Refrigerator] Door Gasket and Front Panel Feel Hot

    Troubleshooting

    Let's find out more.

The perimeter of the refrigerator's front and the partitions between the freezer and refrigerator compartments have a heating element (heat-dissipating pipe/hot line) installed to prevent condensation.
This heating element may cause the sides and front of the refrigerator to feel warm, but this is normal operation.
Immediately after installation or during summer, the compressor may run longer to produce more cooling, making the surfaces feel warmer.

Location of the heating element inside the refrigerator

※ The heating element is embedded where the door gasket contacts the refrigerator, as indicated in red.

As shown below, the Glass Door surface has a built-in heating element to prevent condensation.
It may feel warmer during summer or in humid conditions, but this is normal operation.
