The Hygiene Fresh filter, located inside the refrigerator compartment

While it varies depending on the refrigerator model, replacing the
filter typically once a year helps maintain a fresh, odor-free
environment.

Open the refrigerator compartment, remove the food, and replace the filter inside.
Purchase a filter compatible with your refrigerator model from the LG Electronics website's Care & Accessories/Consumables Shop or your nearest LG Electronics service center. Then, replace the filter as follows:
Replacing the Hygiene Fresh Filter
1. Before replacing the Hygiene Fresh filter, press the "Hygiene
Fresh" button on the display to turn the Hygiene Fresh function
off.
2. Open the refrigerator compartment. The Hygiene Fresh filter is located inside, on the shelf. Grip the filter cover and firmly twist it counterclockwise to remove it.
3. Remove the old filter and discard it.
4. Insert the new Hygiene Fresh filter, ensuring the black section faces outwards from the filter cover.
5. Rotate the filter cover clockwise to install it inside the refrigerator compartment.

Resetting the Hygiene Fresh Filter
1. After replacing the filter, reset the filter replacement
notification.
Press and hold the "Hygiene Fresh" button on the display for about 5 seconds.
The illuminated "Replace" lamp will turn off and will illuminate again when the next filter replacement is due.

2. Press the "Hygiene Fresh" button again to activate the Hygiene
Fresh function.
