[LG gas range] Sparks keep flying. A crackling sound continues

    Troubleshooting

If the sparking plug is wet, sparks fly with a crackling sound even when the machine is not running.
This may occur when humidity is high, the machine is wiped by a wet dishcloth, or when food has overflowed.

    Try this

At first, either pull the power plug or remove the battery for a while, depending on the product model you have.
Remove the burner cap (black) and the burner head (stand in silver color), and dry them for about a day.
If you want to dry them faster, you may use a hair drier to blow cold air across the sparking parts.
If the problem persists after drying, call LGE Service for an inspection.
If the knob returns after being pressed or if the sparking switch inside the product is abnormal, the sparking sound may continue.
Though the spark causes no risk of fire and you are safe to use the machine, the parts need an inspection if the sound continues after drying.
